In the context of the Voluntary Share Exchange Tender Offer (“Voluntary Tender Offer”) launched by Metlen Energy & Metals PLC (“Metlen PLC” or “the Company”) on the outstanding shares of Metlen Energy & Metals S.A. (“Metlen S.A.”), Metlen PLC reports on two announcements released by index providers MSCI and FTSE Russell.
On Thursday, July 3rd, MSCI announced that, if the Voluntary Tender Offer is successful, it intends to include Metlen PLC in the MSCI Global Standard Indexes, classified in Greece, considering Metlen PLC as the continuation of Metlen S.A. MSCI will continue to carefully monitor the event and will issue a further notice in due course.
Additionally, FTSE Russell announced on June 30th that, in the event of a successful outcome of the Voluntary Tender Offer, Metlen PLC is expected to receive UK Nationality and is expected to be placed within its Developed Europe Mid Cap index. Eligibility to the FTSE UK Index Series will then be evaluated at the quarterly index review in September 2025. FTSE Russell will issue a further notice in due course.
