EP.AL.ME.

EP.AL.ME is active in the industrial production, processing and trading of metals, especially aluminum alloys and their products, and is located in the community of Oinophyta, Municipality of Tanagra, Prefecture of Viotia. It is a subsidiary of Metlen after acquiring a 97.87% stake in EPALME.

It is the largest secondary billet manufacturer in Greece. It has established itself, both in Greece and abroad, adapting its production to high quality standards and to the needs of international customers and Greek businesses, whose sales are largely promoted in foreign markets. Based on its long-term know-how and highly trained staff and through the optimal processing of recycled aluminum, the company has the ability to produce new raw materials, consuming significantly less energy, thus drastically reducing its operating costs and environmental impact.

EP.AL.ME. is an aluminum recycling unit in which the circular economy is fully implemented. Its main waste, the ash, ends up entirely in the cement industry as an alternative raw material. It consumes 20 times less energy than what is needed for primary aluminium production.  It is the largest secondary billet manufacturer in Greece  (2021 production >37,000 t/y) while it has significant prospects for the development of its activities.
