As a longstanding supporter of local communities, METLEN Energy & Metals continues to invest significantly in the education and well-being of residents in the Municipality of Distomo – Arachova – Antikyra (DAA). As part of its Commitments to Sustainable Development Initiatives, METLEN undertook and fully covered the cost of an extensive project that radically transformed 11 school complexes in the region, aiming to create safe, modern, and functional spaces for students and educators.
The project, with a total value of €517,000, was completed in September 2024 and included interventions that upgraded building infrastructure, reconstructed outdoor areas, installed new sports flooring, and equipped schools with modern tools such as interactive whiteboards, photocopiers, and air conditioning systems. Additionally, the educational environment was enriched through the donation of books, educational games, and materials, while particular emphasis was placed on maintaining infrastructure and facilitating student transportation.
METLEN extended its initiative to the Municipality of Levadia, upgrading the event hall of the 4th Primary School of Levadia and installing safety flooring at the nursery of Synoikismos, further enhancing the educational experience in more areas.
Through actions like these, METLEN Energy & Metals reaffirms its tangible commitment to contributing to the sustainable development of local communities by strengthening education and ensuring progress and prosperity for future generations.
