At the Metals Division of METLEN Energy & Metals, sustainability is a core pillar of our operations and strategy for continuous growth. In this context, back in 2020, the Procurement Functional Organizational Unit (F.O.U.) launched a significant project aimed at reducing paper consumption. This initiative not only enhanced efficiency but also generated a notable environmental benefit.
Through this effort, paper consumption was reduced, saving an amount of paper equivalent to preserving one tree per year. As a culmination of this initiative, in collaboration with the relevant department of the Aluminium of Greece plant, a symbolic decision was made to plant 20 trees—one for each member of the responsible team—within the facility grounds. Under the message "Planting the Future, Saving the Present," this action tangibly demonstrates that METLEN is deeply rooted in a conscious commitment to conservation and regeneration.
This initiative highlights the company’s dedication to balancing corporate growth with environmental responsibility. At the same time, it serves as yet another testament to the value of the F.O.U. institution, which acts as a driving force for continuous progress and improvement.
METLEN Energy & Metals remains committed to investing in initiatives that reflect our dedication to a more sustainable world.
