Project Summary

On Friday November 13, 2009, PPC and the consortium METKA S.A. – ETADE S.A., have signed the contract for the construction of an 811 MW power plant at Megalopolis, Greece. METKA has a 10% participation in the consortium, with ETADE having 90% participation. ETADE is fully owned by TERNA S.A. following the sale by METKA of its shares to TERNA, announced on 8.1.2010.

The scope of work of the project includes: the design, engineering, manufacturing, construction, procurement, tests during manufacturing, transportation, installation, on site tests, commissioning and also Civil Works of Unit V, gas fired combined cycle power plant with a net power output of 811 MW, at reference conditions. The power plant consists of 2 GE gas turbines type PG9371FB, 1 GE steam turbine type D11, 3 GE generators type 330H and 2 NEM HRSGs.
