This natural gas fired co-generation power plant is part of the Agios Nikolaos Energy Complex, with total installed capacity of 778MW.
The project has been carried out by METKA on full turn-key basis and includes Design/ engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of a 320 MW (electrical, guaranteed net output) co-generation plant with a 2+2+1 configuration and auxiliary installations.
The co-generation plant is designed for a very high degree of availability and reliability, and also includes dual fuel back-up auxiliary boilers to ensure continuous steam production for the neighboring alumina refinery.
The scope of the project also includes interfaces for the IPP unit of the Agios Nikolaos Energy Complex.
As part of its overall operations and maintenance scope for the Agios Nikolaos Energy Complex, METKA has also carried out the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the co-generation plant after completion.
