Collaboration with agronomists on an annual basis for monitoring the
quality of the flora in the wider region, to the extent that this is in-
troduced into the food chain. To this end, the Company operates a net-
work of 28 stations taking static measurements of fluoride levels, lo-
cated within a radius of 0 to 12 km of the ALUMINIUM S.A. plant.
In addition, samplings take place and chemical analyses are carried
out to determine the fluoride content of olive tree leaves, vine leaves
and pine needles (twice per year), as well as that of grapes (once
per year).
Wastewater:
Annual studies in collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Ma-
rine Research (HCMR) for monitoring the impact of our industrial
activity on marine population, and notification of these studies to
the competent Authorities.
